Anthropic has promised 518 billion dollars for compute, and most of it cannot be canceled
Anthropic's confidential IPO prospectus, seen by Reuters, shows the Claude maker has promised to spend at least 518 billion dollars on computing over roughly a decade. About 80 percent of it must be paid no matter how much the capacity is used. Only one big deal, up to 84.5 billion dollars with Elon Musk's xAI, now part of SpaceX, can be exited quickly.
