Claude designs quantum circuits that beat the best published ones
Anthropic and Harvard researchers gave Claude plain language specifications for eight quantum circuits and an automated judge. Claude came back with designs that beat the best published ones, in some cases by more than an order of magnitude, including a decoder 12x cheaper than Google's and a new way to do the hardest step of elliptic curve arithmetic.
