Claude writes so much code that Anthropic replaced git with its own system
Claude writes so much code inside Anthropic that git became the bottleneck. Daily merges grew from about 2,500 in May to over 30,000 in September, so a team of seven built Scion, an in-house version control system, and moved the whole monorepo off git in five months.
