UK launches an AI Biosecurity Lab, and OpenAI and Anthropic add up to £200m in credits
Britain is building what it calls the world's first dedicated AI biosecurity organisation. The new AI Biosecurity Lab gets £100 million from the government and up to £200 million in model credits and access from OpenAI and Anthropic, as part of a security heavy AI package worth more than £600 million.
