Claude designed proteins that grab scorpion toxins, and 17 passed lab tests
Anthropic let an internal Claude research model run a protein design campaign against five scorpion neurotoxins. In 64 hours it produced 318,484 designs, two labs tested 211 of them, and 17 met strict criteria for a binder. Nothing has been tested in cells or animals yet, and all designs are now public.
